HTC Touch Pro2 has recently announced. Comparing with the Xperia X1, which one will be the winner?

Some photos of Area Mobile has been posted. The photos show about comparison within Xperia X1 and HTC Touch Pro2. Although some of them seem a bit blurry, but they are still interesting.

The Xperia X1 has the same specs with HTC Touch Pro2. There also the same feature of their QWERTY sliders and WVGA displays. The little difference is that the Xperia X1 screen is slimmer and thinner than HTC Touch Pro2. So it is in the right place to compare them. Here are some comparisons of Xperia X1 and HTC Touch Pro2:

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Review by Boingboing

Here yet another Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 review. Better late than never, this time Boingboing posted their opinion about Sony Ericsson’s first Windows Mobile handset. As they said, the X1 is engineered art, precise to the finest detail and machined in brushed metal. A high-end powerhouse that mocks the bejeweled junk that usually passes for luxury in cellphone-land, it remains hard to recommend thanks to its extravagant price.

At $800 unlocked, with no subsidy options, every virtue is expected, and every vice doubly disappointing.

A slider-phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, the X1 has a 3″ touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera, secondary webcam and a 528Mhz Qualcomm CPU with a 256MHz co-processor. Built in is 256MB of RAM, 512MB of Flash storage and a quad-band 3G GSM radio. It has Bluetooth, WiFi, aGPS, FM radio and a 1500 mAh battery. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro and weighs 158 grams.

As a piece of hardware it’s almost without peer. Photos are crisp and large, the keyboard is well thought-out, and performance is excellent compared to workhorse smartphones. The 800×480 display is particularly amazing. For those who want serious productivity, it’s got grunt in abundance: mobile blogging would be a dream on this thing.

On the other hand, it’s thick and heavy, and the arc on which the keyboard slides out seems more about form than function.

Its interface, comprising a collection of heavily customizable panels that abstract the phone’s functionality in various pretty ways, is equally swanky. Though it’s WinMo under the hood, it does a great job of making it as friendly as OS newcomers. In particular, the media player is a colossal improvement over the standard app bunged into vanilla Windows Mobile. You’ll still need to pull out the stylus to pick at tiny-texted menus once you’re inside many apps, however, so don’t expect miracles.

Sony ericsson xperia x1

Yet another Xperia X1 review. This time Phonearena has posted their comprehensive review of the XPERIA X1. Here’s what they had to say:

All in all we have to give the Xperia X1 high marks, especially for Sony Ericsson’s first attempt at a Windows Mobile device. Having HTC by your side definitely helps, but we like Sony’s innovative panel interface even if it isn’t quite as good as TouchFLO 3D. The screen is downright gorgeous, and the keyboard one of the better ones we’ve used. There is room for improvement though, and we eagerly await the X2.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Review

Published: Nov 14th, 2008 | Author: sefanboy Add Comment

The most awaited Sony Ericcson phone, Xperia X1 is ready to hit the market. If you really interested to this phone, then a great review like Engadget’s Xperia X1 review is a must read. Just like Engadget says, In almost every other way, though, the XPERIA X1 shines. The battery life is stellar, the browsing in Opera is delightful, the VGA resolution is drool-worthy and the integrated camera isn’t too shabby, either. This here truly is a case of matching up the pros and cons with your specific needs and determining which list outweighs the other. Now, if someone figures out how to get Android up and running on this thing, we wouldn’t say a “wholehearted recommendation” would be too far from the realm of feasibility.
