Paris seekers, please be thankful to our friends at se-world.info and the YouTube, since now all of us can see the promotional video of this handset. You can find the link at the end of this post.
For your information, the Sony Ericsson Paris (P5) will be powered by UIQ 3.3, come with a secondary video call camera, GPS, 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, bluetooth and 3G connection. The keyboard will be similar to M600, which has 2 characters on a key. The P5 will also pre-installed with Google Map, Wayfinder and Opera Mobile software.

You might’ve read the post about the Paris’ ‘new name’, the P200. Thanks to my friend Meraj Chhaya from phonereport.info for correction of the new name.
According to Unwiredview post about the Sony Ericsson naming system (you can read it here), the P200 should be a candybar (ends with 0), not a slider, which the Sony Ericsson P5i is. And actually, the model number P5i fits the part very nicely, since model numbers ending in 5 mean the phone has a slider form factor, according to SE’s new naming system.

Our friends at the Mobile-review have a post that might be interesting for you. The article tells us about the Paris and the Sony Ericsson Mobile Company. You can read the full article here. But in the mean time, please read the final paragraphs of the article:
The Paris looks more like Sony Ericsson’s attempt to settle down in the segment of touchscreen devices before Motorola or Nokia make it there. In my opinion, this is a niche-aimed solution that is not like the G900 (which has all what it takes to turn into a widely adopted device). The Sony Ericsson Paris will be sort of a late call and too few will really crave for its QWERTY keyboard. It’s pretty difficult to find a scenario where its sales numbers will be stellar.

A while ago the Paris was published as the Sony Ericsson P5i. But now, we can now be sure that the real and official name for the Paris is the P200. This information came from a leaked UA Profile.
There are many posts before this one that revealed the specification of P200 a.k.a. Paris. However, let’s take a brief look about this handset. The Sony Ericsson P200 will run on UIQ 3.3 platform and will sport Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G connectivity. It will also have a 5.0 MP camera with a sliding lens cover. Not to forget the touchscreen and a P1i style QWERTY keypad.

Isn’t it kind of boring to hear that there’s another Paris P5i picture? However this time it’s different folks. Finally, we have the best spy photos of this long-awaited handset, held by a real hand.
The slim handset will come with some of great technologies inside. Among its features are a stylus and finger-based 2.8-inch touchscreen, HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, built-in Wi-Fi, GPS, 360 MHz CPU, and Symbian 9.3, UIQ 3.3 operating system, 5 megapixel camera, secondary video call camera, and the same type of keyboard as the M600 (2 characters on a key). In addition, the P5 will also be pre-installed with Google Map, Wayfinder and Opera Mobile software.

Se-nse is spilling some more beans on its supposed leak of the P5i “Paris” smartphone, and put simply, UIQ fans are (or should be) salivating uncontrollably right now. And when we say “salivating uncontrollably,” we mean like to the point that they’re unable to present themselves in social situations because there’s just this really disgusting stream of spittle constantly flowing out of their mouths. Got that visual? Okay, now check it: the blog is reporting that the Paris will sport a touchscreen display (capacitive, it seems), a semi-QWERTY keypad in the same vein as the M600 and P1, WiFi, 3G (maybe in a global flavor for once?), GPS, and preinstalled Google Maps, all sitting atop UIQ 3.3. If this is real, it gives the XPERIA X1 a nice little run for its money atop the Sony Ericsson food chain, does it not?

Several days ago, the UIQ Technology has announced the release of UIQ 3.3. However, in the present there are no manufacturers has announced phones that is able to use the technology. But of course there will be Sony Ericsson’s phones that are able to use the UIQ 3.3. Our friends at se-nse had confirmed that two well-known manufacturers namely Motorola and Sony Ericsson will announce products making use of UIQ 3.3. They believed that the phones will be around within a month’s time.
BeiBei is one of the unannounced smart phones from Sony Ericsson that is most likely to use UIQ 3.3. Lots of signs point to this as being the platform used.
