Finally the second firmware update for Sony Ericsson Aino has been available. This touch driven phone gets firmware update with the improved stability, new themes and reduced power usage. So that now the Aino user will get longer battery life. The other addition in this firmware are support for new video codec (MIME-type MPEG4-generic), enhanced Bluetooth and WLAN coexistence and like mentioned above there will be 3 new themes for you.

What’s more, Aino user also gets Bubble Town 2, a new game.

According to the previous Sony Ericsson’s commitment, the firmware updates will be delivered thru the whole portfolio. So that previously we had known the firmware update for the other Sony Ericsson phones like Satio, Xperia X2 and Yari earlier in 2010. Satio had got WVGA video recording, direct upload to Facebook and YouTube and DLNA support. Xperia X2 had been granted with video telephony and FM radio app. Finally Yari got new game as well as improved battery life.

RIM has got right to be one of the top 5 phone manufactures in the world. It is in the 4th place among the largest phone makers to replace Sony Ericsson in obvious ranking. This result is given based on the research by IDC, a researh firm.

According to IDC, RIM has successfully sold 10.6 million devices in January to March time period. It has beaten Sony Ericsson in 5th level with 100,000 phones sold.

As for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd sequence, they are placed by Nokia, Samsung and LG (107.8 million, 64.3 million and 27.1 million devices sold respectively).

The other area, phone manufacture for US ranking, the first place of handset maker is given to Apple. Apple has beaten Motorola to second place by 8.5 million phones (Apple has sold 8.75 million iPhones).

The device seems to be the iPad’s rival. It is a combination of e-reader, gaming machine, netbook and will be connected to Sony Online Service that comes with movies, TV episodes, games and so on. The available games on this service are recycled PlayStation games and according to the plan, those games will be available for a wide range of mobile and portable devices. According to the company this iPad killer will be available sometime in 2010.

Another plan of Sony is a smartphone that built in conjunction with Ericsson. This smartphone will be capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games.
