A rumor comes from Wall Street Journal has been around. According to this rumor Sony will develop its portable multimedia device that featured with online service.
The device seems to be the iPad’s rival. It is a combination of e-reader, gaming machine, netbook and will be connected to Sony Online Service that comes with movies, TV episodes, games and so on. The available games on this service are recycled PlayStation games and according to the plan, those games will be available for a wide range of mobile and portable devices. According to the company this iPad killer will be available sometime in 2010.
Another plan of Sony is a smartphone that built in conjunction with Ericsson. This smartphone will be capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games.

As people may already guess, Sony Ericsson still has its quite disappointed report in this Q4 2009. The situation still seems quite difficult for the company. Some time ago Sony Ericsson had reported their Q4 losses that reached $270 million, pre-tax.

Have you heard about Sony Ericsson Kurara recently? The much rumored phone is officially Vivaz. People have talked Kurara especially about its capability for recording video in HD resolution. Sony Ericsson Vivaz will be launched in this quarter in some selected markets. The Vivaz design reminds us to Android Xperia X10 with its rounded edges and smooth lines. Previously we had heard that Satio had been pulled out from some UK retailers due to software glitch problem. For this time it seems that the phone has got the solution with the announced firmware update, R1CA037.
According to gsmarena.com, Sony Ericsson representative told that this latest firmware update would be announced as soon as possible to the public once the uploading process had finished. Currently they are uploading all the needed files and scripts to the net.
There are some specific firmwares from the operators, so it will need time before those all are up. However you can check out whether you are the lucky one for getting the update early. For you who have not yet owned Satio and would like to get one, you should be happy with this, as the Satio’s issue has been solved right now.

Sony Ericsson financial report has been unveiled. The Q2 2009 report of the company has been known. As expected, this second quarter is challenging for the company. It shows the over half shipping (this Q2 2009 is 13.8 million and the Q2 2008 is 24.4 million) compared with last year. Compared with Q1 2009, this result is down with 14.5 in Q1 2009 report.
