You might’ve read the post about the Paris’ ‘new name’, the P200. Thanks to my friend Meraj Chhaya from phonereport.info for correction of the new name.
According to Unwiredview post about the Sony Ericsson naming system (you can read it here), the P200 should be a candybar (ends with 0), not a slider, which the Sony Ericsson P5i is. And actually, the model number P5i fits the part very nicely, since model numbers ending in 5 mean the phone has a slider form factor, according to SE’s new naming system.

Our friends at the Mobile-review have a post that might be interesting for you. The article tells us about the Paris and the Sony Ericsson Mobile Company. You can read the full article here. But in the mean time, please read the final paragraphs of the article:
The Paris looks more like Sony Ericsson’s attempt to settle down in the segment of touchscreen devices before Motorola or Nokia make it there. In my opinion, this is a niche-aimed solution that is not like the G900 (which has all what it takes to turn into a widely adopted device). The Sony Ericsson Paris will be sort of a late call and too few will really crave for its QWERTY keyboard. It’s pretty difficult to find a scenario where its sales numbers will be stellar.

A while ago the Paris was published as the Sony Ericsson P5i. But now, we can now be sure that the real and official name for the Paris is the P200. This information came from a leaked UA Profile.
There are many posts before this one that revealed the specification of P200 a.k.a. Paris. However, let’s take a brief look about this handset. The Sony Ericsson P200 will run on UIQ 3.3 platform and will sport Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G connectivity. It will also have a 5.0 MP camera with a sliding lens cover. Not to forget the touchscreen and a P1i style QWERTY keypad.

All of those James Bond wannabe out there must be thrilled by this breakthrough from Sony Ericsson. The Swedish-Japanese manufacturer will bring us one step closer to the famous character by patenting embedded radar technology into handsets. The combination of the radar technology, inbuilt GPS system and sophisticated camera will give us the capability of finding a target, click its high resolution image and even determine it velocity and other details.
Too bad it doesn’t have a rocket launcher or a synchronised powerful laser beam to complete the ‘seek and destroy’ mission for Bond. Probably, this one is just for locating and clicking pictures of potential Bond girls!

Sony Ericsson continues to create handset innovations. After a while ago they’ve created the Shake music control founded it their Walkman Series like W580i or W910i that enables users to change songs by shaking, the Swedish-Japanese handset manufacturer has officially patented a so-called Location Dependent Music Search at 8th May 2008.
Here is a simple explanation based on its patent abstract:

There’s a review of the Sony Ericsson Walkman W760 from our friend at the Mobile-review. They said that the handset’s ring tones and its reception quality are quite good, even though they considered the vibro alert is a bit too much.
According to mobile-review’s prediction, the phone will be available at early May and will retail for around 650 USD, which makes quite a contrast with the W910i’s ever-falling price of 500-550 USD. Like we said at the beginning of the review, consumers bent more on fashion will like the W910i better, whereas those who want to get superior sound quality, extra abilities in the music player and GPS navigation all in one package will have the W760i at the top of their short-lists. It is not a mass-market solution, and it doesn’t have direction competition at that primarily due to its perplexed positioning. If it weren’t for the Sony Ericsson W910i, it would be popular, but with this neighbor its chances are slim. Although we have nothing against the W760i – it is a reasonably interesting phone with a unique flavor to it.
