
Previously we had known that Google and hardware partners had shipped around 60,000 per day. This tidbit had been disclosed by Eric Schmidt on MWC back in Februari.
Now it has grown even better.
According to a shareholders meeting a few days ago, the number had been updated to 65,000 per day for the three months later. If this keeps steady, Google and co will be pushing around 5.5 to 6 million devices that shipped per quarter.
Yes, it is unclear the difference of ‘shipped’ and ‘sold’ in Schmidt statement. But those 2 words are actually different. ‘Shipped’ refers to activity of building and sending out to partners, regardless it ends up with sales or not.
