 SE G900

G900 is one of the most awaited UIQ phone from Sony Ericsson. This phone become more interesting since use similar design with ordinary cell phone, but has UIQ OS and touch screen. Unwiredview just post their review about this phone and found some interesting fact. In the bottom line they said that the G900 turned out to be an interesting smartphone, easy to use for calls or writing messages as a normal phone, while retaining all the capabilities of Symbian UIQ. It’s a good product that will probably sell well. The G900 not a top model among the Sony communicators; the successors of the P1 and T5 are expected to come out towards the end of the year. This model should be great for people who need normal phone functions first and smartphone functions second.

Recently, the Swedish-Japanese manufacturer revealed in a closed press release that they will be shipping the C702 Cyber-shot phone soon. Well, maybe the C702 has sailed in the ocean now. Following the C702, we can expect that the C902, G700 and G900 will follow its predecessor across Europe.

With its ordinary cell-phone design (some say it looks like the K530i), the G900 meets a bunch of criteria that put it in the line of Sony Ericsson’s smartphones. It seems that the simple design, which is uncommon for smartphones of the company, was meant to attract people who are interested to use the G900 foremost as a normal phone, yet they still want to have the option to use full smartphone features. So in simple words, the G900 wasn’t made for experts, but for first smartphone users and average users.

SE Beibei G702

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in their obligatory round of FCC testing has confirmed the existence of the long-rumored “BeiBei”, the former codename for the G702 (the specific example submitted here appears to be a G702c variant).

The Symbian-equipped powerhouse comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot for extra memory. The candybar handset features a touchscreen (a la the G700 and G900) display with a stylus in addition to a roller bar for navigation.

Sony Ericsson Z780

As we all predicted before, Sony Ericsson finally announced two handsets made for mid-range users. The handsets came from G and Z series and named Sony Ericsson G502 and Sony Ericsson Z780. For your information, some skeptic sides said that the announcement was merely an effort from Sony Ericsson to distract investors from their 48% profit downturn compared to Q1 of last year.

Each phone is clearly designed to take its position among web-enabled phones but in different directions. The Z780 expands the company’s range of devices for markets outside of Europe and the compact G502 brings the power of the web to a mainstream audience.

SE G900

Another phone that was announced by the Sony Ericsson Mobile Company at the Mobile World Congress 2008 was the Sony Ericsson G900. Even though the phone looks very similar to the G700, there are some slight differences. The most obvious difference is the G900’s silver metallic strip that runs along its edges.

It seems that the G900 has a row of sensitive soft keys just like the K850i, but actually they’re placed on the responsive touch-screen LCD and dedicated buttons for messaging and notes. The G900’s numeric keypad is similar to that of the G700 but don’t quite offer tactility. The M2 expansion slot is somewhat stacked below the proprietary post, but can be hidden behind the battery cover, while the dedicated keylock now finds itself on the right hand edge.
