The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in their obligatory round of FCC testing has confirmed the existence of the long-rumored “BeiBei”, the former codename for the G702 (the specific example submitted here appears to be a G702c variant).
The Symbian-equipped powerhouse comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot for extra memory. The candybar handset features a touchscreen (a la the G700 and G900) display with a stylus in addition to a roller bar for navigation.

FCC has officially approved the G700, one of the Sony Ericsson’s new smartphones that was introduced in the 2008 Mobile World Congress. The Sony Ericsson Mobile Company labeled the handset as a “touchscreen organizer for the masses”. Bluetooth and a Memory Stick Micro (M2) slot are also found on the device.

Apart from the X1, Sony Ericsson also announced two UIQ based smartphones – G700 and G900. Both are equipped with touch screens, and good cameras. The G700 features a 3.2 mega pixel camera with fixed focus and the G900 features a 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus. It’s not normal auto focus, though. It’s a new sort of focus, where you can press the area of interest on the phone display, and it’ll automatically focus on this area. Really smart!
Both phones are candy bar models with a 2.4 inch large display. The display is capable of showing up to 262.144 colours, and is QVGA resolution (240 x 320 pixels).
