G502 is another HSDPA phone released by the Sony Ericsson. The latest version of Google Maps for Mobile attached in it will allow users to view high quality maps that give them a satellite view of the local area and view listings of restaurant and hotel. In design, the G502 is a compact “stick” phone that extends the range of web-enabled mobile phones to a broader mainstream audience as it is Sony Ericsson’s most affordable HSDPA phone yet.
In addition to web-orientated features such as landscape-mode web browsing, RSS feeds, picture blogging and e-mail access using web mail and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, the G502 also has a 320×240 pixel 262K TFT QVGA display, 32MB internal memory and removable external storage with Memory Stick Micro.

As we all predicted before, Sony Ericsson finally announced two handsets made for mid-range users. The handsets came from G and Z series and named Sony Ericsson G502 and Sony Ericsson Z780. Maybe some of you have heard about the Sony Ericsson Emelie. Now the rumor will come true as the Sony Ericsson Mobile Company decided to announce it tomorrow (23rd April). With the ‘new name’, the G502 has a clean black color that might be inspired from the land of Japan and candy-bar design that look fancy with a touch of K530 style.
The front of this black jewel plays host to a 2 inch large TFT display of QVGA resolution, capable of showing upto 262.144 colours.
