Now I have heard many versions of green and eco-friendly phones, such as from Samsung. However, in my personal opinion, I think that the most promising green phone available to date is the Sony Ericsson C901 Greenheart.The latest news over at the internet said that the Sony Ericsson C901 Greenheart has finally reached Phillipines market.
The reason why I said that the greenheart is the most promising eco-friendly phone to date is, of course, the specs. Sony Ericsson C901 Greenheart has a 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and several features such as Face Detection, Smile Shutter, and BestPic. The phone also has a 2.2 inch scratch-resistant mineral glass display. And all of you video and networking lovers will love the handset since it also supports YouTube and Facebook.

So what’s green on this C901 Greenheart? C901 is equipped with an in-phone manual, thus saving paper and providing quick access to the product support guide. The mobile phone is made from 50 percent recycled plastic. Even the optimized display light sensor consumes less energy. The handset uses waterborne paint that reduces the overall carbon dioxide emissions by 15 percent.

“The key environmental innovations from our GreenHeart study such as reduced packaging, elimination of the paper manual and the choice of cleaner materials will be implemented in other products in the portfolio,” quoted Hirokazu Ishizuka, Sony Ericsson corporate vice president and head for the Asia-Pacific.

Sony Ericsson C901 GreenHeart is most known with its eco friendly mission. Many aspects of this phone are used to reflect the responsibility of the environment issue around us. We hope for the other manufactures to create their eco friendly phones in the future.

So, what we can see in this C901 in its eco friendly theme?

* The phone comes without paper manual, so the paper usage will be reduced for this product. User who needs manual still can find it inside the phone, it has the installed electronic manual with it.

* There is no unnecessary packaging comes with the phone, at least Sony Ericsson has done a good job to reduce it.

* The device is made from recycled plastic

These are 2 mid-end new phones of Sony Ericsson that has announced, C901 and Naite GreenHeart. These phones are included in environmental friendly phone of the company, GreenHeart.

C901 GreenHeart

This phone is actually C901 but this time it brings GreenHeart brand. Its digital user manual is loaded on the phone memory. The phone is made from 50 percent recycled plastic and uses waterborne paint that aimed to reduce its exposure toward Volatile Organic Compounds. For reducing power consumption, you’ll find its light sensor incorporated. Its Walkmate app tells you how much CO2 emission you have reduced and so. Its MH300 headset made from recycled plastic (100%). Pretty nice…

The remaining features are similar to C901: 5 Mpx camera along with video light and xenon flash, 2.2″ screen display, Smile Detection, Best Pic, quad band GPRS/EDGE and dual band UMTS/HSUPA and others.

USEB has posted a quick video preview of Sony Ericsson C901 and C903 Cyber-shot. These are naturally prototypes, and although the software is incredibly stable, it’ll probably change a bit in the final versions. The C901 and C903 will be out in shops in Q2 this year.

Sony Ericsson has released two new Cybershot phones, C901 and C903. Please be careful when you want to buy one of them. Don’t see the model number since the C901 have better camera flash than C903. Here’s a quick video showing the main differences between a proper xenon flash on the C901 and the rather crappy LED flash on the C903 – and it of course also shows how superior the C901 is when it comes to image quality. Sony Ericsson C901 aka Filippa is rumored some times ago, but there is no pictures of the phone. Now some pictures of ‘Filippa’, were leaked at SEMC Blog. C901 seems will come in three colour variants, Noble Black, Sincere Silver and Precious Peach, and the phone itself is looking quite cool. The C901 is a candybar phone in style with the C902. It is rumoured to feature a 2.2-inch display, 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, xenon flash and Smile Shutter. Unfortunately, there is no front camera for video call purpose, so I wonder if this phone is 3G or not.

According to the site, the C901 will be announced at Sony Ericsson’s Mobile World Congress press conference in Barcelona on the 15th of February with a release date in April.
