Finally, Google uses their platform, Android, on their own phone, Nexus One. Begin announced on first month of this year, Nexus One finally will be shipped. Google Nexus One uses Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1 GHz processor with 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. This is the first collaboration between Snapdragon and Android. The result is Nexus One runs fast.
Nexus One comes with big 3.7” display but fits into pocket friendly gadget. The dimension is 119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm and 130 g weight. As we know, the Nexus One is made by HTC. And it seems HTC designs it like other touchscreen devices, no new design experiment for it. Wordpress users now get the Wordpress app for Android, Blackberry and iPhone. Nokia will be available soon. The Wordpress app is free to use and open source so it may be got improved in future by the community. Wordpress is currently working in Qt and soon will release the beta version for Symbian and Maemo operating system.

This one is about the next Motorola Android phone for Verizon. The name is Motorola Devour. The previous rumors had talked about the phone and after it the spy shots had appeared and finally the phone gets closer now.
According to AndroidCentral, the first look of the Motorola Devour retail box has been reported. Not sure whether this photo is right retail box as it looks too big especially compared with that of Motorola Droid that slim and minimalist. Besides, it is too advertise-y.
So the conclusion is the image probably is not Devour retail box, it is merely the pre-release demo unit box that has been shipped to Verizon store manager. Considering the demo unit has been shipped to Verizon, so the launching time will be very soon, maybe not more than a few weeks.
Several images have appeared telling a coming Android phone from the company Alcatel. The name is OT-980. This Alcatel smartphone runs Android OS v1.6, features WiFi, A-GPS, 3G, 600 MHz processor, 192 MB of RAM, and a 2 Mpx snapper.
There is a compass, accelerometer, microUSB plug, microSD memory card slot and a 1150 mAh battery as the hightlighted features left. The Alcatel OT-980 will be in the entry-level line up that comes with the price point even cheaper than HTC Tattoo. So we feel it impressive considering all those specs are presented.

The cheap smartphone world is fulfilled with Symbian as the common OS and some Windows Mobile. Now finally Android wants to get in with the new device of Gigabyte.
So one of those cheap Android is HTC Tatto that can be got with $300 or 210 Euro. Then other is Gigabyte GSmart with price tag of less than 9000 rubles (Russian market) that less than 210 euro.
Both phones have similar specs such as 2.8″ QVGA screen, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, microSD, 528MHz CPU, 256MB RAM/512MB ROM and 3.5mm audio jack. Have you heard about Sony Ericsson Kurara recently? The much rumored phone is officially Vivaz. People have talked Kurara especially about its capability for recording video in HD resolution. Sony Ericsson Vivaz will be launched in this quarter in some selected markets. The Vivaz design reminds us to Android Xperia X10 with its rounded edges and smooth lines. According to Sony Ericsson, they will use this style in their future products.
As for operating system, Sony Ericsson Vivaz will run on Symbian S60 like Satio. There will be some minor tweaks included.
