htc evo 4g guide

Some HTC Evo 4G users noticed a huge decrease in audio quality with Pandora and Slacker Radio after the 2.2 Update. This was also the case with local files. For all those having the same issues with Pandora and Slacker Radio, here  a simple fix for the sound issue.

1. Download an app called MixZing (free version works fine) from the market. Load up the app.
2. Make sure you have at least one audio mp3 on your phone.
3. Play that music file.
4. In the left hand bottom corner of the application there is an icon that resembles an equalizer. Click it.
5. After it comes up Click the “On” check box.
6. Select the arrow next to were it says “flat” and change it to “Bass Boost”.

HTC evo 4G tips n tricks

HTC Evo 4G has very fast connection speed on the 4G / Wimax networks. However, this phone has reconnection issues after losing a 4G signal ( newest software 1.47.651.1 ). You need about 5 minutes to reconnect the 4G network. To fix this problem, swatspyder from the xda-developer forum has post a great tutorial, and it’s really works for many Evo 4G owners.

Requirements:
Your MSL code (See Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697487)

Instructions:
Turn OFF your 4G radio if it is turned on!
1. Click on phone and dial ##DATA# (##3282#)
2. Click on “Edit Mode”
3. Type in your MSL code (see above if you don’t have it yet)
4. Click on the menu entry “WiMAX”
5. Scroll down the list and click on “WiMAX_Scan_Retry(s)”
6. Enter the number 15 and click “OK” (This equals 15 seconds instead of 300 seconds)
7. Scroll down the list and click on “WiMAX_Entry_Delay(s)”
8. Enter the number 0 and click “OK” (This equals 0 seconds instead of 300 seconds)
9. Press the “Menu” key and click on “Commit Modifications”
10. Grab a cup of coffee, get a bite to eat, or sit back and wait for your EVO to restart

Samsung Galaxy Tab vs iPad

Galaxy Tab has officially launched, this Samsung’s 7” tablet is Android powered. Looking at the word tab reminds us of Apple iPad, how these two matches up? Let see the comparison.

Screen
Bringing 768 x 1,024 pixels resolution and a touch-sensitive IPS display, the Apple iPad measures 9.7 inches screen. With the great size and resolution this screen is simply astonishing. On the other side the Samsung Galaxy Tab sports a smaller display on 7” and a resolution of 600 x 1,024 pixels that is sharply fitted.
Winner: Apple iPad

Measurement
The Apple iPad measures 242.8 x 189.7 x 13.4mm and weighs 680g. Weighs more than half kg, this device feels lighter than it size when you hold it. Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with more compact with its 7” screen. The tab measures 190.09 x 120.45 x 11.98mm and weighs almost half iPad on 380g.

The Samsung Show at IFA has Galaxy Tab under the spot light among many devices. Other device joins the Samsung party also, the new Vodafone Samsung I5510. This device is running the latest Android version 2.2 Froyo and equipped with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Really come out of nowhere, the Samsung I5510 that brought four row slide-out QWERTY keyboard was announced in the party. This device is the first Samsung Android device launched in Europe. Not more than the info that this device will launch on Vodafone informed by Samsung.

htc droid incredible vs motorola droid 2

It seems that Verizon has a good relationship with few numbers of Android phone vendors. And now, some high profile phones from HTC and Motorola are going to the same carrier. First is HTC Droid Incredible then Motorola Droid 2 follows and the Motorola Droid X closed the story of great relationship with beautifully.

However, those Android Based phones must beat each other to proclaim as the best phone from HTC that is going with Verizon. Here, we want to compare two from three HTC phones. They are the Droid Incredible and Droid 2.

Let’s check the full story of them.

Both Droid Incredible and Motorola Droid 2 are having the same screen. They armed themselves with 3.7 inches of AMOLED technology display. However, the different is in the number of colors they can show off. Droid 2 shows it 16.7 millions colors while the opponent  is only supporting 65 k colors. Besides, you don’t need to shade the screen while playing with Droid 2 under the sun. This is the thing that missed on Incredible’s screen. What is about pixel resolution? Measuring up with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution, the DROID 2 offers higher pixel. Nevertheless, Incredible’s screen is still incredible though.

HTC Desire packed with 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. In theory, the camera should has capability to capture decent pictures and videos. But for those who don’t know yet..

The desire’s backcover has a camera lens protector made by very cheap plastic, that scratches very easily. When this happens, the pictures will have a “glowing”, blurry, unsharp look.

To improve the camera quality, all you need is to remove the piece of transparent plastic “lens protector” on the backcover and then used a small piece of screen protector and sticked it on the lenses. Even without it the chances you actually scratch the lens is virtually none. So now I have a hole in my back cover, but I dramatically improved my picture and video quality.
