iOS 4.1 release date

In today’s press conference, Steve Jobs announced the release of iOS 4.1. The OS will be available for download next week for free via iTunes. The new operating system for iPhone and iPod touch comes with the following features:

  • High Dynamic Range photos
  • Bug fixes including those relating to the proximity sensor, Bluetooth and the iPhone 3G.
  • High-definition video upload over Wi-Fi.
  • TV show rentals and purchase
  • Game Center debut

Acer Stream comes with simpler model than other Android based touchscreen phone. More shortcut brought by the Stream located above the three hardware button in the shape of touch-sensitive surface.

Now the HTC Desire is about the same class device take Stream to a fight, let’s take a look on paper comparison below.

Both device’s display are quite similar, brings the same screen size, resolution and AMOLED technology.

iphone 3gs tips tricks

A firmware update on iPhone’s operation system is tested on iPhone 3GS, but some reports this update slow their 3GS down. Some find that turning spotlight search “off” will boost the iPhone 3GS performance.

We tested this method and it works, performance boosted resulting in a snappy application start, system stability reached, work around interface smoother than before.

However, this good result might also be contributed by the fact that we cleaned all my unused things including applications, games and data. We think that the result might not be as we experience right now if it’s not because of the cleaning-up process.

samsung epic 4g vs samsung intercept

Sprint had released high end Sprint Epic a while ago, now they eager to launch another Android based device. Taken from the originally Samsung Galaxy S Pro, sprint will launch with the name Epic 4G that stands in top end line. The device comes with the Sprint’s ultra-fast 4G network and a side slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Now we are going to battle it with Samsung Intercept.

Main difference:

User interface: Both are Android 2.1 Eclair based device, but what differs them is that the Samsung Epic 4G use TouchWiz 3.0 UI covering its Android while the Intercept use the OS default Google Experience UI. The TouchWiz is more smooth and beautiful, however both UI function the same.

Performance: The Epic 4G sports its own 1GHz Hummingbird processor with 512MB RAM while the Intercept equipped 800MHz processor and 256MB RAM. On normal use we can see not much of a different but when dealing with heavy task or maybe multi tasking surely the Epic 4G will still runs well.

htc desire hd and htc desire z

There is a spreading rumor in Germany about the name of a couple HTC product. These HTC products will be distributed with different names there. The phones that planned to distributed with different name are HTC Ace and HTC Vision. The Ace is rumored to be distributed with the name Desire HD and the Vision will be called with Desire Z.

HTC Ace will run the Android 2.2 Froyo as its default operating system. This phone is designed to have an aluminium body. Some rumors said that Desire HD is a GSM flavored HTC Evo 4G. What about further information of this phone? Unfortunately, we will have to wait.

sony ericsson xperia x8 release date

UK’s Cellular operator, O2 will launch the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 next month as promised earlier that this phone will launch on 3rd quarter and this good news is already officially confirmed.

Concerning about the price, the O2 has not mention it yet, but we guess it could not be expensive since the XPERIA X8 is only a mid-range phone. The price should be less than the XPERIA X10 offers at £45 per month on contract.

This post is an update review of Motorola Droid X Vs HTC Droid Incredible war. Her 6 main differences between Droid x and Droid Incredible:

* User interface: Both devices are running Android 2.1 Eclair and applying cover UI to the Android. Motorola use MOTOBLUR UI, giving more enhancements such as widgets and multiple homescreens while the HTC use Sense UI offering custom widgets, and the ability to change the layout and icons on the home screens according to activity category.

*Display: The Droid X occupies 4.3? TFT display, 480×854 pixels. On the other side the Incredible equipped a fair size 3.7? display, 480×800 pixels screen.

* Design: Although the Droid X is quite large for a smartphone but it is still able to fit in pocket but the Droid incredible comes with fit in-pocket size.
