I like your comparison. The only ojection I have to say is that the g2 has a new generation processor with a smaller chip and conbined with the new gpu this phone is actually faster than the evo. There are a few benchmarks out there to confirm this.

The G2 is more responsive than the EVO, just a tad bit snappier in overall User Experience (UC). My friend has a G2 and I have the EVO, I think if I get rid of a lot of bloatware and use a custom rom then that may change but comparing both phones out of the box, G2 feels faster.

EVO, G2, Iphone 4… Personally I enjoyed the G2 overall. Sprints 4G service is not all that. In Dallas we are lucky if we get 3m Plus am not going to pay for video service through another vendor. I liked the iphone, of course I have to jailbreak it. For some reason the G2 did fell faster and now they have the OTA update for the wifi hub and UMA service. Download on G2 vs Iphone4.. that was no contest, in dallas we were getting 6m. on the G2.

great phone. love the touch screen. definately a big upgrade from my last unlocked touch screen phones. very happy. processor is faster, phone is a little bigger and it’s very practical and easy to use. it’s easy to navigate around the phone and the apps are fun and keep me busy during long waits. very happy with my new unlocked mobile phones. games and facebook keep my fiance happy and quiet during meetings and business trips. my daughter loves hers for the camera and recorder. she’s always taking pictures. also got our cell phone unlock codes and samsung unlocking for free. got our last two g2′s at unlockthatphone.com 2 thumbs way up
