The Sprint Samsung Epic 4G has finally out on 31th of August. Does the phone meet the market expectation? Does the phone stand out among other premium phone? Let’s see our first impression on this phone below.
Carrying Samsung Galaxy S technology, this Epic 4G will also fight with other Galaxy S powered phones such as Verizon’s Samsung Fascinate. Let’s take a look at these Galaxy S phones to know the difference.
Sprint has launched Epic 4G with 4G network capability, this second Sprint’s 4G phone has a slide QWERTY keyboard just like the HTC Evo 4G. 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen is also attached on the phone. However, the Fascinate sports exactly the same AMOLED screen but with physical QWERTY keyboard excluded.
Both phones use 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor, the Epic 4G is equipped with multimedia function such as video store, probably the Fascinate will also bring video store but we are not sure. Both phones also have 5 megapixel camera that support HD video recording, but sadly the Fascinate is not armed with secondary video call camera.
Android 2.1 Eclair is also running on both phones. Both support wireless tethering up to 5 devices. So tempted to touch one of these Galaxy S devices?
