According to Peter Chou, the HTC CEO, HTC may release their Windows Phone 7 lineup by the end of 2010. So, after this the speculation may end that saying HTC will wait Microsoft’s permit for custom UIs.
As many of us know there is a rule from Microsoft regarding their new Windows Phone 7 operating system states that home-brewed UI are not permitted. So, there is no manufacture will have right for customizing this Windows Phone 7 before Microsoft finishes to deliver uniform UI for various devices.
So, it is confirmed now by HTC CEO, Peter Chou in CTIA 2010. HTC will make their Windows Phone 7 and the device will hit the market before the end of 2010. The device’s name seems to be HTC Obsession, that previously had been leaked about 2 months ago.
Finally Peter Chou also gave comment on Nexus One. Considering the lack of good marketing and retail network, the sales seems to be good enough (135 000 devices have been sold in the 74 days). The other fact is that Nexus One is successfully bringing HTC to the top Android brand.
