A market research firm form Taiwan has given their report regarding iPhone sales market. According to them, Taiwan’s smartphone integrated circuits shipments have exploded. This explosion is due to the unpredicted amount of iPhone sales in that country. These Taiwan integrated circuit shipments have grown over 30% in this quarter.
Further information comes from Market Intelligence and Consulting Institute that has predicted iPhone will reach its hottest selling record in this quarter, 10 millions iPhones. The previous selling number of iPhone was 7.4 million units in Q3 2009.
In this Q4 2009 the IC shipments has reached 116.97 million units. This shows the market value of US$613.7 million. Previously, in Q3 2009, iPhone 3GS sales had exceeded the expectations so this Q4 2009, the prediction has been made to 10 millions sold. Of course the suppliers of iPhone chip have got their benefit too.
