I have posted about this K750i successor before. Cellphonesail has posted this blurry photos of 5mp candybar (codenamed “Kate”). Basically this is a C902 but with newer software in the form of Java 8.4 like the C905 and G705. Xenon flash is included along with QuadBand GSM and UMTS/HSDPA. No GPS, no frontal camera, but it does have a button to switch from still, video, and gallery in the camera app. Camera also has the Smile shutter feature. This should be announced in October along with some other mid/high end phones. Should also come out in time for the holidays.

The phone still not available on the market yet, but C905 has some cool original themes. Since the phone has 240 x 320 pixels screen, can anyone test these themes for other phone like C902, W910i or other 320×240 pixels phones?

Xperia x1 screenshot

Swedish site Dailymobile show us some cool Xperia X1 screenshots.  As you can see, it is pretty comprehensive unlike other non-iPhone mobile browsers. It would be interesting to see where that handset stacks up in the pecking order when it is finally released. Well, Xperia X1 is a high-end device with large WVGA touch display, side-sliding design with QWERTY, integrated GPS, WiFi and quad-band GSM with quad-band UMTS. It will have personalised interface to change the standard operating system. With the Xperia you get the 800 x 480 display and the Panels interface for adding widgets.

With Adobe Flash Lite you can personalize your phone with cool animation / moving image. Here a video produced by Flash Lite guru Bill Perry. He demonstrates how Adobe Flash Lite can be used in a Sony Ericsson Theme. Using the “ever changing” theme on the Sony Ericsson S500i phone, the video gives a demo of how the Flash Lite based theme interacts with various APIs related to the phone calendar function.

Unfortunately, some items showed in this video are locked – such as building the Desktop screen in Flash Lite – and can only accessed with Sony Ericsson’s permission.

Just because the first Xperia use Window Mobile as their OS, doesn’t mean all of next XPERIA will use this OS. At the launch of its digital marketing campaign for said handset, the firm made clear that future SE Xperia phones may not be based on Microsoft’s OS, with Magnus Andersson, product manager for the X1, noting that “the brand is not tied into any specific technical platform.” Unfortunately, he didn’t elaborate nor give any indication what other systems we could eventually see, but at least we know that there will be life after the X1 in one form or another, right?
